The main focus for my FMP was the word "Perspective". With this in mind, I created a short film looking into the perspective of life and how we as people view the world. My film follows a girl, and how she finds herself living in the moment, appreciating each and every part of her life.
My main focuses when I am creating is focusing on my film-making, along with visual storytelling as a whole. For "Ukiyo" I took inspiration from films like "Chungking Express" and "Lost in Translation" in the way they convey emotions through this visual structure. This project was filmed with the Sony "A7II" using entirely free-hand camera methods. This created a great effect that makes the audience feel as if they are right there behind the character as she is walking through these locations.
For my future plans, I am taking a university course in "Visual Effects and Post Production" with the University of Suffolk. Through this course I can acquire a variety of skills to help my post production, whilst also having it as a medium to create more short films with these more intermediate skills. I intend to create a short film for every genre I can manage. This is both from a fun aspect, and to gather the most experience working with a variety of projects.
Final Major project about my personal perspective on my APD condition. My main focus of the project was to give people an inside view of what my life is like with APD, through a visual poem film with storytelling and effects to make the audience feel uncomfortable when there are intense scenes, this is to give the audience the feeling I get when the poem gets very intense. It's about raising awareness about this condition and my perspective with it in my life.
I've created a captivating short film using game footage from Skyrim. I meticulously edited and colour graded the footage with various techniques in DaVinci Resolve to effectively convey the emotions of the characters to the viewer. My goal was to enhance the storytelling and visual impact, making the characters' experiences more relatable and engaging.
Hello my name is Chelsea, for my final project I made a music video based on colours which highlighted a young woman in a one-sided relationship.
Throughout this project I had a wide range of ideas, however this one had the most content and what I felt to have the most promise and interesting content. And I believe this idea was easiest for people to relate to with my targeted audience.
In terms of media this is my final project as I have decided to pursue my love for fashion at the Norwich university of the arts doing a fashion design course. Where I will take my media skills to be able to promote my designs confidently.
Hello, I'm Dominic, in my final Major project, I made a short documentary about someone's perspective on music.
Throughout this project, I had many ideas before I ended up with this idea. I used Glen Kendall to be the person I wanted to interview because of his wide range of knowledge with music and his collection of music that he collected over the years.
This is my final project for now because After this course I have decided not to go to university. This is because I want to have time to think about going and see if there's any opportunities that may come across in the next year or 2. However, It isn't off the table for me in a few year and if I want to go and get a degree in media or anything else that could help me in my future I will look again.
Hello, my name is Eoin and my final major project is a Paramore inspired music video where I break as many world records as I can within a music video. I attempted things like 'Fastest time to scrunch up a piece of A4 paper' and 'Most 2p's stacked in 30 seconds' just to name a couple.
During this course, I was able to develop a better understanding of the process of making films, animations, documentaries, music videos etc. I especially enjoyed being behind the camera and learning how to use different sorts of cameras such as: NIKON, Blackmagic Studio, Panasonic X1000 and a 360 degree camera.
Below, you can see my final major project, a poster I made alongside the final project, and a showreel, which showcases the best pieces of work I've created while studying Creative Media.
I'm going to the University of Lincoln in September 2025 to study Film Production to develop my skills further.
My Name is Glen and for my Final Major Project I created a surrealist short film centred around the intangible fears that I face of thing like isolation, lineless ,failure and death portrayed in an abstract manor broken up by weird and disturbing visuals. This allowed to to be creatively expressive and be experimental with filmmaking and something I want to continue doing with future projects.
My biggest inspiration for this the works of Salvador Dali and David Lynch's 1977 directorial debut movie Eraserhead and made the video open ended and down to interpretation as the the viewer can project your own meaning to it The piece it's self is named 'More Minus Est' or more is less as I believe that the names sums the whole thing well being that there in not a lot visual wise but says so much.
My plans for the future are to study the Visual Effects and Post Production at the University of Suffolk at the new learning centre The Place.
Hello, my name is Jack and my Final Major Project for this year is a short video/documentary about the technology we have nowadays that has since become interwoven into our lives, and comparing this to the technology that we used to have several or many years ago.
Initially I planned for this project to be a poster and an After Effects Composition that showed a visual representation of the technology I had chosen. This Idea evolved over the course of this project to become what it is now. Looking back, I think that decision was for the best since I believe the finished product turned out better than what I had initially planned, especially with how it shares similarities with my FMP from last year.
I have also created some posters to go alongside my project, all of which relate to the theme of my FMP in some way. I have decided to include the posters alongside my final edit because I want all of my completed work to be represented, making sure that nothing had been left out.
My name is Logan and for my final major project I made a music video for the song from Charli XCX which I choose the theme to be about colour.
This is a second music video I have made as last year for my last final major project I created another music video for the first time, but this time around I have done it at a very high level that I'm extremely proud of. During my process I used such things like; Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and even more programes to enhance my music video and posters for it.
My name is Harrison, and for my Final Major Project, I created a video exploring how different colours can influence emotions and perceptions in visual media. Initially, I planned to produce a short film, but I found that a montage format better demonstrated the impact of various colours and their ability to evoke specific emotions. This approach allowed me to effectively showcase the powerful role of colour in shaping the viewer's experience.
