vISuaL CHaoS feels like a modern, digital collage. Black and white photos blink with new colors as they jaunt across the screen. As a user clicks-around and explores the space, new windows pop-up and move about the screen in a fashion normally reserved for invasive ads. Scrambled bits of words and poetry appear from dropdown menus and hyperlinks like virtual newspaper clippings begging to be explored further. The piece clearly situates itself as a successor to Dadaist collages brought into the digital age. The bold lines of color cutting through the black and white photographs feel like the past and yet the slightest bit of movement reminds us that it is modern. It is, as the name implies, a bit chaotic, but not so much that no meaning or intention can be found. It is just enough to keep a viewer engaged and hungry for meaning.
