eTwinning is a community for schools in Europe.
It provides a platform for staff (teachers, principals, librarians, etc.) working in one of the participating schools in European countries to communicate, collaborate, develop projects, share; in short, to feel and be part of the most exciting learning community in Europe.
eTwinning promotes school cooperation in Europe by making it easier for schools to establish short and long-term partnerships on any subject by providing the necessary support, tools and services through the use of ICT.
The eTwinning|ESEP Platform (https://school-education.ec.europa.eu/tr/etwinning) is the main meeting point and working space. This platform provides online tools for teachers to find partners, create projects, share ideas, exchange best practices and start working together immediately using various customized tools in the system.
Launched in 2005 as a flagship action of the European Commission's e-learning Program, eTwinning has been tightly integrated into the Lifelong learning Program since 2007. The Central Support Service is managed by European Schoolnet, an international collaboration of 31 European Ministries of Education that improves education for schools, teachers and students in Europe. In addition, eTwinning is supported at national level by 43 National Support Services.
