Digital Citizenship Journey: Exciting Project of High School Students
As the place of technology in our lives increases day by day, it becomes more important than ever to take part in the digital world consciously and responsibly. In light of this awareness, this project prepared by our high school students is an exciting example of thoroughly exploring the concept of digital citizenship and raising awareness in this field.
As part of the project, our students researched what it means to be online and what our online rights and responsibilities are. In this way, they realized the importance of navigating the digital world consciously and learning to protect their rights.
They learned about one of today's most important digital problems, such as cyberbullying, and developed methods on how to deal with this bullying. In this way, they gained awareness about protecting themselves and those around them from cyberbullying.
By including sensitivity about copyrights in the project, they learned the ethical rules of sharing and using content in the digital environment. In this way, they realized the importance of respecting intellectual property rights.
To reinforce all this information, they designed various games and prepared information banners and posters. They also expressed their experiences and feelings about digital citizenship by writing stories with the creative writing technique.
One of the most important stages of the project was making evaluations using critical thinking skills. In this way, they learned to analyze the information they acquired and to consciously generate ideas on issues related to the digital world.
This project contributed to improving high school students' digital citizenship awareness and becoming responsible individuals in the digital world. Additionally, we believe that the project will inspire other students and society.
We would like to thank our students and all those who contributed to this wonderful project.
