Let’s be green as much as possible. We encourage you not to take the plane, even if this takes more time and might take extra effort. Of course, we know it is not always possible depending on where you are traveling from.
Arrival day: 25.10.2026, Departure day: 03.11.2026
You can arrive in Bulgaria two days (23.10 and 24.10 2026) before the project or leave two days (04 and 05.11.2026) after the project and still get the travel reimbursement. According to the financial agreement, we can not cover accommodation and food costs for additional days.
There are two ways to reach Bansko from Sofia Airport:
Direct shuttle/bus: Some companies offer direct services from Sofia Airport to Bansko. The journey takes around 2.5–3 hours and advance booking is recommended.
Metro + intercity bus: From Terminal 2, take Metro Line M4, change at Serdika to Line M2 and get off at Central Railway Station. Sofia Central Bus Station is located next to it. From there, take a bus to Bansko—the journey takes approximately 3 hours.
Participants arriving at Terminal 1 can use the free airport shuttle to Terminal 2. Always check the latest schedules before travelling and coordinate your plans with the organisers before booking.
