-If I submit an application, does the art have to be mine? Can I commission someone or use official art?
You're application must be drawn by you and you alone. We do not accept works that have been copy/pasted. And if you have to commission someone to draw the character for you, why are you doing the artist application? We have a writers one with no drawing required if that suites you better friendo ^_^ See next question
-Do I have to draw my characters? I'm more of a writer or don't have access to a scanner/art program.
No, there is also a writers application that can be found here for those of you who will be doing more writing/roleplaying than drawing.
-What type of digimon can I have? Are there any off limits digimon?
You can either make up a digimon from scratch or have an official digimon. Whatever you'd like. There are only three rules to digimon selection. No digimon that are ridiculously overpowered*, that do not have an evolution line, or that are type-less. Other than that, you're good.
NOTE: What I mean by overpowered is like... unfairly powerful. For example if a digimon's attacks are all 1 hit K.O. moves or if they have the ability to destroy digiworld with the blink of an eye... that kinda stuff would allow a member to take over and/or breeze thru events. Which wouldn't be very fun for them or other players. So we prefer that the digimon not have OHKO attacks unless it's mega level and then only one as a finishing move. That way things are more balanced and playable ^_^
-Can I have the same digimon as someone else in the group?
Currently no, sorry. The group is still fairly small so it would be better for everyone to have different digimon. If the group get's bigger I might consider changing this rule but for now no. You can't have the same digimon as someone else.
-Can I have more than one digimon?
When you first join the group no, you can only have one digimon. However, you can unlock the ability to have more than one digimon in one of two ways:
1. Gain EPIC STATUS
OR
2. Unlock second character and INSTEAD of creating a second tamer character, chose to create a second digimon for your current tamer.
-When can my digimon digivolve?
You can unlock the ability to digivolve your digimon to it's higher levels by collecting EXP and buying those levels as you progress thru the game.
-How do I get EXP points?

-Can my character be a sibling/best friend to one of the original digi-destined?
I think not... :/ I mean it's okay to say your character has met them at some point but they shouldn't be that close. Besides this group is set 15 years after the events of Digimon 02, so they'd all be in their 20's by now anyway haha
-Where do the tamers live? Does my tamer have to stay in the dorms at the organization?
There are dorms provided at the organization where the Tamers can live if you want, but they don't have to live there. If you want your tamer to live somewhere else and just come to digiworld for missions that's cool. It's a little more practical to live at the dorms and you get points for doing the room meme, but we're not going to hold it against you if you don't want to live there whatever floats your boat.
-Is my character allowed to smoke/drink?
Smoking is okay as long as 1: they are old enough to buy cigarettes/cigars and 2: it's important to your characters personality.
Drinking isn't recommended because your character is supposed to be under 21 years old, thus it would be kinda weird for them to be drinking.
-Can I make NPC's and RP them?
Yes, NPCs are allowed and you can have as many as you like, HOWEVER there are some rules;
Please use the NPC ref sheet found here, if you want to officially submit them to the group as your NPC
Please do not RP a bunch of them at once when in the group chats, that could get confusing... please stick to just 1 or 2 max, especially in event RPs.
All NPCs must be connected in some significant way to your character or the main story. For example they could be your characters sibling or a bad guy's lacky.
NPC Tamers with digimon are allowed, but you are not allowed to use them in Main Event RPs or artwork unless given special permission first.
Just a digimon by itself is okay, but it cannot be a second digimon for your tamer. They can be rivals, friends, shop owners, bad guys, etc. but cannot be your digimon's twin or live with your tamer. Cool? Good moving on...
-Can my NPC digimon digivolve?
Only if you have created an NPC tamer for them to be partners with and they cannot digivolve past whatever level your main character currently has access to. For example if your main character can't digivolve their digimon past champion level yet, then the NPC can't digivolve past champion either.
-Can my NPC smoke/drink?
Depends on their age and such just like for your main character.
-What is a dark grub? And what is a kopya digimon?
Dark grubs are a small black slug like creature that attaches itself to the back of a digimon's neck. When they attach themselves to a digimon that digimon starts referring to itself as a member of the Kopya and so the organization calls them Kopya Digimon. These Kopya digimon only have two goals, to create chaos and fulfill the plans of their "master", Seteshmon. The only way to stop these digimon from their reign of chaos is to destroy the grub controlling them and set them free from it's control. Since Seteshmon's defeat they aren't as prevalent, but do sometimes show up on missions or random places
