1. Introduction Digi Logbook ("we," "our," or "us") is a medical logbook application designed for physicians, residents, and medical trainees to track their procedural experience and clinical cases. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal and clinical data you entrust to our application.
2. Information We Collect
We collect different types of information to provide and improve our Service:
A. User Account Information (Physician/Trainee Data)
Authentication Data: When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture to create your user profile and sync your data across devices.
Professional Details: We store professional details you voluntarily provide, such as your Title (Dr.), Designation, Hospital Name, and Department.
B. Medical Log Data (Patient Data)
Anonymized Clinical Data: You enter data regarding clinical cases, including Patient MRN (Medical Record Number), age, gender, diagnosis, procedure names, and clinical notes.
Images: You may choose to upload clinical images (e.g., X-rays, monitors, wound photos).
Disclaimer: This application is NOT an Electronic Health Record (EHR). You agree to enter only anonymized data. You must strictly avoid entering Direct Patient Identifiers (names, phone numbers, national IDs, full dates of birth) in free-text fields or images.
C. Usage & Device Information
Analytics: We use Google Analytics for Firebase to collect anonymous usage data (e.g., screens visited, session duration) to understand how the app is used.
Crash Logs: We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect error reports (stack traces) to fix bugs and improve stability.
Device IDs: We may collect device identifiers to manage authentication sessions and push notifications.
3. How We Use Your Data
Service Provision: To store and retrieve your personal procedure logbook across your devices using Google Cloud (Firebase Firestore).
Analytics: To analyze trends and improve the app's functionality (e.g., determining which specialties are most popular).
Advertising: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use advertising IDs to serve personalized ads based on your interests.
4. Patient Privacy & HIPAA/GDPR Compliance
You, the User, are the Data Controller of the patient data you enter. Digi Logbook acts as the Data Processor.
Your Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to ensure that all data entered into the App complies with applicable patient privacy laws in your jurisdiction (e.g., HIPAA in the USA, GDPR in Europe, DPDP Act in India).
Image Redaction: You warrant that any image uploaded to the App has been redacted to remove patient names, faces, or other identifiable features before upload.
Prohibited Data: Do not store "Protected Health Information" (PHI) that has not been de-identified.
5. Data Storage and Security
Cloud Storage: Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers (Firestore and Cloud Storage). We rely on Google's industry-standard security infrastructure.
Local Storage: Some images or cached data may be stored locally on your device. You are responsible for securing your physical device (e.g., using a passcode or biometric lock).
No Absolute Security: While we strive to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Retention: We retain your data as long as your account is active.
Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You may do this within the app settings (if available) or by contacting us at the email below. Upon request, your data will be permanently removed from our servers.
8. Children’s Privacy
These Services are not addressed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
