"There is a lot more to appreciate than what we see."
Visit Date: Friday, February 20, 2026
Journal Notes:
Friday Morning, it was 6 when we left for Manila. Nakarating kami around 8, sa Luneta. We walked in circles to wait for this place to open. At 9, it was time to enter the premises of the National Museum. Akala ko iisa lang ang Museum, but it is divided into 3 different structures, namely Fine Arts, Anthropology, and Natural History, the one we were about to explore.
Dito pala sa Natural History yung nakikita ko sa Social Media na central structure sa loob. It was called the "Tree of Life". It is an elevator to the 5th Level, where visitors start and end at the bottom. Sayang lang, hindi siya gumagana at the moment. As I saw on social media, this is where some new-gen kids take aesthetic pictures and share on their walls because of its calm ambience. I wanted to know if the place is more than that, and yes it was, surely.
The museum is clean and well managed, clean, organized, and coordinated to what gallery has in store. The Natural History Museum emphasizes how every creation came into place, from space and even microspecies we share life with and how we, people, have the power to take care of it and preserve its beauty. Every gallery has its own feel, vibe and energy. It lets you be immersed of what the gallery's message wants to send out, it has different activities in store to be enjoyed by spectators.
The National Museum surely is a great place to visit, especially since it's free for everyone to visit. Kaya little kids to adults from different nationalities, are delighted when they saw what's inside. Hindi lang kasi exhibition ang nakikita, where you just look at displayed artifacts and leave, but you get to know its background and maybe have a chance to experience activities regarding a topic is shared in each gallery.
'Di lang pala lugar to take your partners on a date or take pictures on its aesthetically patterned walls. It's a way for us to grow in our knowledge and learn to appreciate things beyond what we know initially. I'm totally curious what the other museum has to show everyone. Well, one thing is for sure, I'm excited to visit the next 2 Museums, Tara G?
