Focus of ‘Digital and Genomic Medicine’ lab is on integration of multi-modal datasets to identify genotype-phenotype relationship and potential biomarker identification using AI/ML techniques. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of our work, we have broad interests in identification of omics and digital biomarkers by mining pathogen genomics, cancer and complex disorders. The key aim is to develop new bioinformatics and statistical methods that can handle the very large amounts of data made available by novel high-throughput techniques. We constantly thrive to make healthcare domain more data-driven by providing software solutions. We understand Bioinformatics as a discipline that that help Biologists to generate new biological insights and knowledge.

Current focus areas include:

• AI-based solutions for cardiovascular diseases in South Asian Population

• Identification of robust diagnostic, prognostic and predictive biomarkers in cancer using bulk and single-cell sequencing data 

• Digital and Genomic Medicine for precision healthcare for complex diseases

• Antimicrobial resistance and metagenomics
