Overview

  • In order for individuals to decide on which gym to attend depends on many factors. According to Jim Schmaltz, a contributor to IHRSA, to make the environment successful you must give a sense of purpose, social connection, and healthy atmosphere that you wouldn't easily attain at home. Many people look for specific qualities build within the culture and mission of gyms, not to mention the environments of different gyms including the amenities and activities each provide.
  • These gym environments differ which influences specific behaviors and how some spaces represent third places for most users while others do not. It relates to the critical section topic identity and how people are alike or different depending on where they decide to obtain services. Also creativity because each gym has its own unique architectural design.
