Bio

I received a Ph.D. in Business Administration(Agribusiness) from W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a B.S. in Economics from Nankai University in China.  I was assistant and associate professor of agricultural economics at the University of Arkansas from 2016 to 2022. I am currently associate professor in the Food and Resource Economics Department at the University of Florida. 

My research focuses on health economics, consumer economics, and food marketing.  I am published in the American Journal of Agricultural Economics (AJAE), JAMA Network Open, Journal of Service Research,  American Journal of Public Health, among others.  My research has been funded by the USDA's Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI),  the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). I am currently serving as a managing editor for The Agricultural and Resource Economics Review (ARER) and an associate editor for AJAE.  I am also an active member of the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association (AAEA) and the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon). 

I have done one marathon and I enjoy golfing.
