Welcome to my site, Diet Delivery Meals! I created it to get down my own thoughts, research findings and opinions on what looks to be arguably the most convenient way of dieting to lose weight.
I'm well aware that a lot of people just don't have the time to look after themselves properly, by eating a healthy diet and getting enough exercise to keep their fitness levels where they should be. I don't agree with "not having time" for your health, however, because I believe that every person is responsible for their own health.
Like most people, I'm aware of how I look and how I feel. If I gain weight and my jeans feel tight, I know I need to do something to correct it. It usually involves identifying what I have been eating or drinking recently that is out of the ordinary for me.
I don't go running to the doctor for every little ache or pain that I might experience. I look at myself and try to figure out what I did wrong first. It almost always involves eating something I don't normally eat that is probably high in added sugar of some description and is likely processed in some way.
Now, I'm no saint when it comes to food. I turned vegetarian a few years ago because I wanted to cut back on all the chemicals that find their way into food sold in stores. That includes all the antibiotics and other medications pumped into farm animals so rather than keep trying to find grass-fed organic meat products that were free of modern farming poisons, I just didn't eat any of it anymore.
That's taking my health into my own hands.
Because I can't trust placing my health in the hands of doctors who for the most part know very little about real, holistic healing. Doctors tend to prefer handing out medications to treat symptoms of conditions that wouldn't be there if they instead spent their time identifying the root cause of the problem and fixing that.
That's OK by me, as doctors need to earn a living like anyone else.
Yet I have found that by following a healthy diet and exercising every day, even if it's just going out for a long, brisk walk in the fresh air, I haven't needed to see a doctor in years and I don't take any medications even though I'm well into my 50s.
It's for those busy people that meal replacement diet programs have appeared in the weight loss business and if that's the only way "busy" people can keep their weight in check, then it's better than doing nothing and just getting bigger!
So, circling back to where I came in, this site looks at the benefits and drawbacks of those convenient, ready-to-go meals delivered to people's homes in boxes!
