Buscando los 10 Tesoros is the first version of hack05, and for the longest time, it would be the only version that got the furthest on the development line. this game features nearly 6 completed worlds. the storyline is very clunky, but the gameplay makes up for it. the game allows players the flexibility to play the worlds in any order they choose with the help of a special warping function that can be activated from the map screen at any time by pressing the L button.
there's a lot to show for this hack (over 300 screenshots), so to prevent your browser from crashing, pick a range to view.
this game was a trip down memory lane. the level design is very sloppy and lazy in a lot of areas, especially the cave segments. lots of the levels lack inspiration and it often feels like i just went with my gut instinct when designing them. not to mention, a lot of areas just feel like they're a debug room for testing blocks or sprites. not to mention the levels that were so long that i wanted to fall asleep playing them. overall, this hack is only memorable because it's the only hack that i created that made it far enough to the sixth world. perhaps one day i'll remaster it, but that's unlikely. fun to play, though.
