I have been working in the public school system since October of 2011. I started as a substitute teacher working in classrooms from PreK-12th grade. As I began to learn where I felt comfortable, I focused on subbing in Elementary schools. I discovered that I have a love and passion for teaching, especially PreK-2nd grade.
I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of general education as well as special education classrooms, with veteran and less experienced teachers alike.
I have taught PreK, K, 1st, and 2nd grades as a long term sub. I spent 3 years working as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in a 1st grade classroom, a Special Ed. PreK classroom, and a specialized program for nonverbal students.
I received my Masters in Special Education from UNLV, and this is my 4th school year as a Special Education Teacher.
My skills include Behavior Management, Crisis Intervention, Collaboration with Colleagues, Organizational and Planning skills, and Flexibility.
My technology skills include: Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Meet, Google Sheets, Google Classroom, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Boom Cards, and Zoom.

I am licensed in the State of Nevada to teach Special Education for Kindergarten-12th grade students.
