This page explains how you can delete your Dice Dishoom account and all associated data. We provide two ways to do this: one inside the app (recommended), and one by email if you no longer have the app installed.

What gets deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove the following information from our servers:
Your name, email address and Google profile photo URL
Your Firebase user ID
Your online / offline status
Your Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push notification token
Any game data linked to your account (e.g. your entry under users/{your_id} in our database)
All preferences and tokens stored locally on your device by the app
This action is immediate and cannot be undone.

What is retained, and for how long
A small amount of de-identified data may remain in Google's logging systems for up to the windows below before it is automatically purged. This data is not linked to your name or email after deletion:
Crash logs and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) — retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted by Google.
Aggregated analytics events (Firebase Analytics) — retained for up to 14 months in aggregate, anonymous form, then automatically deleted by Google.
Server access logs held by Google Cloud — retained per Google's standard log retention policy.
We do not have the technical ability to expunge these records earlier than Google's retention windows, but they cannot be used to re-identify you once your account record is gone.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)
This is the fastest and most complete way to delete your account.
Open Dice Dishoom and sign in with the Google account you want to delete.
From the Game Mode screen, tap Delete Account.
Read the confirmation dialog and tap Delete.
The app will then:
Remove your record from our Firebase Realtime Database.
Delete your Firebase Authentication account.
Revoke the app's access to your Google account.
Clear all locally stored preferences from your device.
Sign you out and return to the login screen.
You will see a "Your account has been deleted" message when the process is complete.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email
If you have already uninstalled the app, or if for any reason you cannot use the in-app option above, send us an email and we will delete your account on your behalf.

Please send the email from the same Google account you used to sign in to the app, and include the following so we can verify ownership and locate your record:
The Google account email address you signed in with
Your display name as it appeared in the app (if you remember it)
The approximate date you last used the app (optional, helps us locate older records)
We will respond within 7 days to confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving the request, in line with applicable data protection law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA).
