eTrade Readiness Assessment of Peru (2023)

The eTrade Readiness assessment (eT Ready) of Peru, conducted by UNCTAD in collaboration with ECLAC, is the 34th assessment in the series and the first to be carried out in Latin America and the Caribbean. It provides a snapshot of the e-commerce ecosystem in Peru, identifies the challenges and opportunities for e-commerce development, providing guidance to stakeholders on how to translate the report findings into actions that will benefit Peruvian society. I was the lead consultant in charge of conducting interviews, desk research and writing of the report, which you can download here


Economic contribution of IPR-intensive industries in Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay (2021)

The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), under the IP Key LA project, conducted a series of studies to estimate the economic contribution of IP rights in several Latin American economies. The studies exploited administrative data on patent, copyrights, trademarks, plant variety rights, and national business records. In collaboration with colleagues, we produced the studies for Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. You can download the full reports and executive summaries here


Post Pandemic Covid-19 Economic Recovery: Enabling Latin America and the Caribbean to Better Harness E-commerce and Digital Trade (2020)

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impact on the uptake of e-commerce, a selected group of eTrade for all partners committed to engage in a range of studies on "Post Pandemic Covid-19 Economic Recovery: Enabling Developing Countries to Better Harness E-commerce and Digital Trade". I was the lead consultant for the Latin America and the Caribbean regional report, which was prepared by a team led jointly by Nanno Mulder (UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) and Sandra Corcuera-Santamaria (Inter-American Development Bank). Development of a National Skills Anticipation Survey for Argentina (2019)

Stemming from policy discussions about the future of work in Argentina during 2017-2019, this project was aimed at designing a national firm-level survey to obtain information about businesses' demand for skills and the challenges they face to fulfill it. G20 Toolkit for Measuring the Digital Economy (2018)

As policy lead of the Argentine delegation to the G20 Digital Economy Task Force, I coordinated the development of the G20 Toolkit for Measuring the Digital Economy. The toolkit aimed to provide a first assessment that could serve to propose possible measurement approaches that support evidence-based policymaking, diagnoses the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy, identifies the issues that could be addressed by public policies, and serves as a potential guide for countries to implement standardized measurement activities.
