"Video club was for students interested in videography as well as sportscasting. The predominant activity the group did when I joined was broadcasting live sporting events on the school’s website. Ms. Rip was at the center of it all, spending most of her evenings at the school helping students get the stream going and troubleshooting any technical glitches we may have had. It was a blast, even for those of us who were not really into sportscasting. She made it fun, got us pizza, and outside of the classroom was more casual, treating us more like equal team members than students. " Josh Teder Creative Video Alumni

Diane Ripollone letter of recommendation

"Diane is simply an incredible teacher: her creativity, dedication to students, and enthusiasm for teaching is unmatched. She teaches a variety of students and is universally respected and appreciated by her students for her ability to differentiate in the classroom, create engaging simulations and make lessons practical and applicable. Her students achieve because she is willing to meet their needs and push them to explore more than they would otherwise consider. I am constantly amazed at her energy and commitment to seeking out additional resources for her classes, and her ability to integrate those resources into our school's curriculum. As an administrator it is a great blessing to have a teacher who is constantly inviting me to her classroom because there is always a new lesson, a wonderful student simulation, or an engaging new resource that she has acquired for our students" Jason Curtis Principal Cardinal Gibbons High School

"Diane’s teaching style can best be described as “active.” As described by one staff member: “Step inside her classroom and you immediately feel the energy. Her every movement, every tone of her voice, and every small smile carries with it the passion, dedication, and innovation. This is what Diane brings to her teaching and, most of all, to her students.” Angie Melcher, Physics Teacher Cardinal Gibbons High School

"As a volunteer FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Coach at Cardinal Gibbons High School, I have had the honor and pleasure of working with Ms. Diane Ripollone for the past 8 years. Simply put, if it were not for Ms. Rip (as everyone calls her), I would have stopped volunteering years ago. When you start working with Ms. Rip, her passion for all things space is blatantly obvious both in and out of the classroom. Whether it be the pins on her backpack, the regular space mission shirts, the ships in her classroom, or the numerous space vehicles coming out of the 3D printers in the classroom it is impossible to miss. However, outward presentation is something that anyone can do. It is how Ms. Rip shares her space passion with everyone that makes her so special. In addition to teaching Science, Ms. Rip runs multiple clubs at the school including Robotics, Drones, and Space Explorers." Parent/Robotics Coach John Toebes

"First and foremost, she is a teacher who is deeply committed to children and her profession. She is a well-organized and industrious individual who is an excellent problem solver; she also gives freely of her time and talents. Her intelligence and eagerness to learn generates enthusiasm in whatever she is doing. Needless to say, she is liked and respected by both the student body and our professional staff.

Whenever I need a teacher to spearhead a project, or generate student enthusiasm, I know I can call on Diane. Her emotional stability and sense of purpose make her an effective teacher. It is obvious she enjoys teaching.."

"It is my observation that as a teacher she is a true professional, performing her duties with the utmost efficiency and ability. Over the course of our acquaintance, I have observed Diane in her own classroom, as well as, in one of her many roles as substituting for colleagues. Ordinarily, this may not seem impressive, however, as each given situation would arise, Ms. Johnson not only faced these challenges, but would always be able to adapt the problems encountered and allow each and student to succeed rather than falter. She is truly an innovative and dynamic individual who is extremely popular with faculty, parents, and students who seek out her advice and counsel." Dennis W. James Principal
