Kankakee National Wildlife Refuge and Conservation Area officially established

With the acceptance today by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service of a 66-acre donation of land in Illinois from Friends of the Kankakee, the Kankakee National Wildlife Refuge and Conservation Area is officially established as the nation's 564th national wildlife refuge.
