What you need for Cross Country
Appropriate workout apparel and dry clothes to wear after practice. As the season goes on, you will need to make sure to have weather appropriately clothing to wear as well.
Be ready for practice by eating properly earlier in the day or night before
a water bottle with water or proper hydration (Nuun, PurAqua Hydration with Electrolytes, Liquid IV Products).
Running shoes (check out Andare Sports in Fox Point, Performance Running Outfitters (various locations) or Rodiez's (West Allis).
A basic sports watch for timing (while it would be nice if everyone had a GPS watch, I realize that those can be expensive).
