The DHAL Memorial Foundation has established in memory of Dr. Hajar Afsar Lajevardi, a woman, Professor, Mother, and hero who loved his native homeland, Iran. In 2016 she was invited by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, but she passed away 61 years old in her homeland, Iran. The DHAL Memorial Foundation was founded soon afterward to promote social, economic, charity, and human rights for Iran's people. In Dec of 2015, The Dr. Hajar Afsar Memorial Foundation (DHAL) was founded by her two sons M Ali Saghiri and Ali M Saghiri.
The by-laws of the DHAL outlined the general directive of the Foundation as the following:
To support the Pediatrics and oral health of Iranian Mothers and children.
To promote social, economic, and Science for the people oral health of Iranian Mother and child.
There will be a yearly financial award to individuals who make significant contributions in these areas for these purposes. There will also be scholarships available to needy Iranian- Americans.
To raise funds for these awards through fundraising activities.
