The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) works to elect candidates to public office who represent our shared values. Those shared values are embodied by our Platform and Action Agenda and by the Charter and Bylaws of the Democratic Party.
The Party Affairs Committee (PAC) is a standing committee of the State DFL Party.
Our subcommittee structure for 2024-2026 is:
Committee of the Whole (all members). Develop recommendations for the full PAC. Vet standing subcommittee structure for 2024-2026. Handle initial review of biennial recertification reports from Community Caucuses and Community Outreach Organizations, and guidelines revisions. Conduct initial review of documents from other statewide standing committees (e.g., Official Call, Constitution & Bylaws).
Training, Resources, and Survey Subcommittee: Continue the work of the former PALS subcommittee. Gather, vet, and disseminate shared or recommended practices for DFL Party processes. Conduct surveys of party units to identify issues. Identify training needs of party units and support training efforts of the Training and Party Affairs Department.
Party Building and Infrastructure Subcommittee: Coordinate with the Training and Party Affairs Department to survey and assess party strengths and weaknesses, and develop recommendations to remedy weaknesses in party infrastructure. Liaise with party units and the Training and Party Affairs Department to study and recommend structures for party organizations throughout the state.
