Fundraising for the Dexter Dance Team

The Dexter Dance Team is a fully self-funded varsity club sport. The average cost to participate per dancer per year is $5,000 plus travel. 

• Annual Team Fees - Average $2,500

• Nationals Fees - Average $1,500

• Technique Training Fees - Average $1,000

Dexter Dance Team Boosters organizes fundraising activities throughout the year in support of the Dance Program that serves students in grades 8-12. Funds raised by Boosters support a wide spectrum of Dance Program student activities, including training camp, choreography, equipment purchases, uniforms and costumes, practice gear, studio practice space, coaches' salary, scholarships, and more.

Universal Dance Association Training Camp occurs each summer, usually in late July, and costs approximately $560 per student. Camp is mandatory.

Universal Dance Association Competitions begin in November of each year and culminate at UDA Nationals in Orlando, FL in February. The team travels regionally in Michigan and Illinois and travels to Orlando, FL every year. Competition participation is mandatory. The competition fees per dancer range from $85 - $1,500 + travel costs.

 Busch’s Cash for Education

Cash for Education is offered by Busch’s for its MyWay members. When you sign up, Busch’s will track your purchases and then award an amount of “give-back” funds to the Dexter Dance Program based on your total spending each quarter. Here's how to participate:

Register

• Sign up through your Busch’s MyWay account at https://www.buschs.com/account/login.

• Registration is done every year and must be entered for each quarter of the year for which you want to support the Dance Program. For example, if you want to earn Cash for Education dollars throughout the entire year, you would enter information for each of the four earnings quarters. This must be repeated every year, as your sign-up won’t automatically continue from year to year.

• For the Dance Program, the organization to select is Dexter Dance Team Boosters.

Shop at Busch’s

• Every purchase you make earns rewards for the Dance Program. Just be sure to use your MyWay card or phone number at the checkout.

Earn Money

• A quarterly check will be sent to the Dexter Dance Team Boosters. The money will be used for the benefit of the Dance Program.
