The Woods Youth
Summer Trip
Hello Everyone,
Just a reminder this blog and the next two or three will be journal entries from the summer trip I went on with my youth group. We went to South Dakota for some bonding activities and Kansas City for Bold Conference. This blog covers day five and six. Here is the link for Day One.
This is a picture I took on the bus of the badlands.
Day six: Yesterday was mostly driving. We drove through the bad lands and spent the night in Nebraska. The bad lands were very pretty. However, I slept through most of it. What I did see was really cool. There were these little plateaus everywhere. Before we reached the badlands, we were driving in the country and off in the distance there was a wall of mountains. It's crazy how the mountains just end.
Anyways, today we drove to Kansas City and took part in the first night of Bold conference. It was awesome. I'm so glad to be back here. Lyle Phillips spoke. You may remember him from last years blog. This year he told us about his missionary work in India and what happens when you only say yes to God, and keep saying yes to God. I hope all of you reading this say yes to God and keep saying yes. I really related to what he was saying. When I say yes to God crazy, awesome things happen.
Sometimes God asks me to do things that seem pointless. Sometimes I have to wait months to learn what God worked out of my yes, sometimes I wait years, and sometimes I never learn, but when I do it's amazing. Saying yes can lead others to Christ, save you or someone around you from a bad situation and even save lives. No matter what God is asking you to do, say YES. Everything happens for a reason; God asked you to do something for a reason. God knows what's best for us and He knows what will be best for us. Say yes.
YES,
Abigail Sandison
