The Woods Youth
Summer Trip
Hello Everyone,
Just a reminder this blog and the next three or four will be journal entries from the summer trip I went on with my youth group. We went to South Dakota for some bonding activities and Kansas City for Bold Conference. This blog covers day three and four, here is the link for Day One.
Day 3: Today we toured Bridal cave. Despite taking the scenic tour there were a lot of steps. After touring the cave we went to a historic town and then went back to the house for worship and cool down.
During cool down, we call it debreif, God moved in a way that I have been praying for, for a long time. I wish I could share it with you but it wasn't between me and God alone, it involved other people too.
Day 4: Today we went to a gorgeous lake. As you can see from my pictures, it was beautiful. I really enjoyed sitting at the lake; I really needed the rest. I was quite impressed with God's creation. Only a creator would be able to make such a diverse and unique earth with so many formations and ecosystems. I'd never seen anything quite like what I saw at that lake.
The youth group also went rock climbing today on a real mountain. Sadly I did not get a picture of it, I was chilling at the Lake instead.
After leaving the Lake, we went to Mt. Rushmore. On our way to Mt. Rushmore, we passed some Bison and Long Horns! It was so cool. I don't know how the Long Horns keep their heads up.
Talk to you soon,
Abigail Sandison
