A modern student is accustomed to having a camera trained on them. Between parental surveillance and a social media culture that cultivates an "AI Gaze" and self-exploitation, a middle school or high school student in a city has extensive experience interacting with cameras.
They may, however, be less aware of the benefits of owning your image. Taking power out of the hands of the broadcasters is something we can do together.
Hey, didn't movies used to get played before an audience? What happened to that?
...
Well, I guess we all know that COVID-19 happened to that. The cinema industry is very much on edge about when and how exhibition will re-emerge.
But let's us viewers decide how we want to re-emerge.
I, for one, am interested in getting the drive-in up and running again. It's the safest way to screen a movie, and modern Bluetooth speakers can improve the Audio response.
A drive-in theater could begin very cheaply; screening 16mm prints of old public domain films is easy enough. In truth, a lot of really nice film equipment is available used as studios unload their obsolete film cameras.
But we do not believe that anything is truly obsolete.
