TACTICAL SERVICES SECTION

The Detroit Police Department's Tactical Services Section is a specialized unit within the Special Operations Bureau, responsible for handling high-risk situations that require advanced training and precision. This section includes operations such as barricaded suspects, hostage rescues, high-risk warrant service, and crowd control. Tactical Services officers are highly trained to respond swiftly and effectively to critical incidents across the city. 

The Traffic Enforcement Unit, led by a sergeant, is dedicated to maintaining road safety across Detroit. By enforcing traffic laws and addressing reckless driving, the unit helps reduce accidents and keep the streets safe for all residents.
