NEW CIP LINK!
Linked above you will find the AFROTC Special Programs Guide, which outlines ALL of the unique opportunities you have as an officer candidate.
As you will be treated on active duty, you are expected to take control of your career and make decisions that align with your goals and aspirations. Your cadre are happy to help with questions and support your board packages. However, the responsibility resides with you to recognize the deadlines, understand the board requirements, and to be transparent with us on your intentions.
These are competitively selected programs and we expect you to show your hunger and maturity during the process if you choose to go after one of these opportunities. As an example, one behavior we expect to see is that YOU tell US (your APAS) what the package/board requirements are and demonstrate that you have done your research; it shouldn’t be the other way around unless it isn’t specifically addressed in the Special Programs Guide. Another behavior is that we expect you to have a conversation with us early about your intentions (within the next two-three weeks from now at most). We applaud those that initiated their conversations with us already! Remember we require at least a month prior to submission deadline to review your application package and provide letters of recommendations, but the earlier that better.
