Det088 from Sacramento has a playlist of videos Cadets can use to familiarize themselves with the Drill and Ceremonies that will be used throughout AFROTC.
This video goes through the process of shining Air Force low quarters and will be helpful for new Cadets receiving their Blues.
Some Cadets from Arizona put together this video on how to wear and set up your Air Force Blues. Don't solely rely on the video's information. Always refer to the DAFI 36-2903 to double-check regulations and for updated guidelines.
This playlist of videos shows the Operation Camouflage Patter Uniform (OCP) must be worn. The other video in this playlist shows how OCP boots should be worn and how they can be tied. Always refer to the DAFI 36-2903 to double-check regulations and for updated guidelines.
When sending official Air Force or AFROTC emails you must make sure your signature block looks professional. An example of a correct signature block can be found to the right. Your first, middle initial, and last name will all be capitalized. The rank of all incoming AS100s will be C/4C. If you have a job within the Detachment, you can list that in the second line. If not, just put the name of your flight.
Throughout your time in the AFROTC program, you will hear many acronyms. It may seem daunting to learn all of these at once, but to the right, you will find a list of many acronyms that are used in the program. All of the positions in the Detachment can also be found on this list with their abbreviation, title, rank, and the person holding that position. This list will be updated throughout the semester.
For incoming Cadets, it is very important that you sign up for both GroupMe and Slack as these messaging platforms are used to communicate within the Detachment. You will be invited to the proper groups by other Cadets in the Detachment after creating your account.
