Each type of wood has something unique and beautiful about it, which is why I enjoy working with different species of wood. When I am creating a design, sometimes I have a specific wood in mind to use. Other times I use the natural beauty of the grain, and colors of the wood, to enhance the designs I already have.
Here are examples of different wood species I use for my projects.

Cedar is a red wood streaked with light cream colors to darker red and accented with knots.
Sycamore is a light colored wood with a light brown grain pattern that reminds me of lace.

A light colored wood that has other colors swirled in such as yellow, grey, light brown, and red or pink hues.
