I can help scout groups with earning a cooking badge!
Ages 5 and up.
Groups of 10 children or fewer can come to my house. Groups over 10 children will have to be at another location that can accommodate the group (school library, auditorium, classroom, someone's house). Please see below for location requirements.

Wrap Up
Choose one for your troop:
*decorated brownies and buttercream (most recommended)
*tie dye cupcakes
*chocolate cupcakes with mix-ins
*decorated sugar cookie sprinkle bars and buttercream
There is no cost to this, but troops that meet outside of my house will have to provide the ingredients.
Here's a supply list for brownies and buttercream.
It's also a good idea is to have the scouts write a thank you note to me at the next gathering. 😁
Each scout will go home with their decorated baked goods, general information about baking, and the recipes for the baked goods made that day.
Requirements for alternative locations: we'll need
seating and a table for all scouts,
access to a sink so kids can wash their hands,
preferably microwave. (If no microwave is available, hopefully there's an outlet where a microwave can be brought in and plugged in.)
large trash can

Decorating brownies with buttercream
Everything leads from one step into the other. There's no down time, The trick is that I bring everything prepped and ready to go. The brownies are already pre-made for the kids to decorate. (If we baked onsite, they would never be cool enough to decorate in time. Believe me, I've tried.) Also, the buttercream is already made and separated into piping bags (I make it in advance). If I waited to make it on site, it would take forever to bag. I have all the decorating kits put together, and I'll hand them out when it's time to decorate the brownies.
I'm very flexible, and am willing to work with you and your scout troop with your needs.
