Interior Design Student in Des Moines, Iowa
I’m an interior design student at Des Moines Area Community College, located near downtown Des Moines. Originally from Newton, Iowa, my passion for design was sparked by the warmth and character of my childhood home. I’ve always been drawn to design, constantly striving to learn and improve. Ever since third grade (after growing out of my “artist” phase), I’ve known I wanted to be an interior designer. When it comes to design, my favorite style is transitional, as it offers something for everyone. However, I have a special love for Victorian houses and hope to see them thrive in the future.

My Design Approach
As an interior design student, my philosophy centers around creating functional, human-centered spaces that balance aesthetics and practicality. I strive to design environments that enhance comfort, well-being, and productivity while being mindful of sustainability. I believe in the power of design to express individuality and creativity, whether through minimalist simplicity or vibrant, eclectic elements. I aim to incorporate attention to detail and always prioritize how a space feels and serves its users. Ultimately, my goal is to design spaces that are not only visually appealing but also meaningful and impactful.
