More About Me

Hi! I’m originally from Iowa, but I was born in Minnesota, where I spent the early part of my childhood living on a farm. My family eventually moved to Newton so my grandma could be closer to her side of the family, and it’s been home ever since, except for one high school year I spent living in Des Moines.

From a young age, I’ve always loved driving by houses and admiring their unique details. That early curiosity turned into a real passion for design, heavily influenced by the styles my grandma—who raised me—loved and passed on to me.

Right now, I work as a dietary aide at a senior living community, where I help provide residents with their daily meals, snacks, and ensure their special dietary needs are met. My favorite part of the job is connecting with the residents, especially when I get to bring them something they love. It’s taught me so much about communication, organization, and how even small moments can brighten someone’s day.

Outside of work, I’m a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to cats. I have a sweet black cat named Nico who’s always waiting for me at the end of a long day, and he truly makes my house feel like home.

Speaking of home, this past summer I bought my very first house! It was such a rewarding experience to be hands-on through the entire process and make decisions that reflected my style and vision. I’m excited for everything that’s to come and can’t wait to continue building a life I love.
