Exploring old tech feels like a trip down memory lane for me. I acquired the skill of typing at the age of 5, and I'm proud to say that I learned it the right way from my own mother. Starting early has undoubtedly shaped my ability to navigate the digital world with ease and efficiency. Picture the sound of an old typewriter - it used to be the music of getting work done. Now, I've moved on to quiet computer keys. The Sony Walkman bring back memories of making mixtapes. Remember those phones with a rotating dial? They made me talk slower and think before I dialed.
Projectors were a big deal with presentations were on see-through sheets, shown on black and white TVs. Philips radios and phonographs filled evenings with music and stories. In my early years, I also had the privilege of listening to classic marches from my father's collection on his phonograph record, adding a touch of nostalgia to my technology journey.
In the past, I stored digital stuff on floppy disks and relied on paper maps for directions. Telephone booths were like private talk spaces, and pagers buzzed with important messages before instant messaging.
I took great pride in owning Nokia cell phones. They were reliable, durable, and had a sense of simplicity that made them stand out. Those Nokia phones were more than just devices; they were a symbol of dependability and a source of pride in the ever-evolving world of mobile technology.
My pocket-sized PDA was like a tiny command center, and Polaroid film let me capture memories in an instant. VHS tapes and VCRs were how I watched movies. Telegrams were the urgent emails of the past.
Among the old stuff, Scrabble games and my Casio watch remind me of slower, simpler times. Dial-up internet was like a musical performance or familiar symphony of beeps and hums, a reminder of when connecting online took patience.
As I look at these gadgets, each one tells a story about how far we've come in the world of technology. Please check out my straightforward YouTube Video: My Technology Journey - featuring these vintage gadgets.

Cool video Gregorio. I laughed when the Walkman came up. I went through the Walkman, to discman, to mp3 to iPhone journey myself. I have also on multiple occasions talked to my children about pay phones and collect calls and they cannot seem to fully understand what life was like before cell phones. Thanks for sharing.

Michael, Glad you enjoyed the video! The Walkman part was a blast from the past, right? I went through the whole Walkman to discman to mp3 player to iPhone journey myself. It's crazy how far technology has come. And yes, trying to explain pay phones and collect calls to the kids is like attempting to describe a different era. They just can't imagine a world without cell phones. It's both amusing and a little mind-boggling.
