Holy Mysteries (Sacraments)

Baptism/Holy Chrismation

Baptism and Chrismation followed by the reception of the Holy Eucharist (Communion) are the customary rites of initiation in the Eastern tradition. Infants, children or adults can receive these sacraments of initiation in order to become a part of God's family--the Church. A baptismal instruction session (with parents and godparents/sponsors) is a necessary prerequisite for all Baptisms. To schedule a Baptism, please contact the parish priest.

Reconciliation

Reconciliation (Confession) is available on Saturday evenings from 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM at the parish or by appointment with the parish priest.

If you would like help preparing for confession, refer to the guides below:

Marriage (Crowning)

Marriage is the Mystery in which husband and wife are united as one in the communion of marriage, to reflect the love which exists between Christ and His Bride, the Church. Marriage Preparation is a prerequisite to receive the sacrament of Crowning. It is best to contact the parish priest with at least 6 months notice to schedule a wedding in order to ensure the requirements can be fulfilled.

Anointing of the Sick

The parish priest is available to offer the Sacrament of Anointing to any baptized Christian who is suffering from a physical, emotional or spiritual illness. It is a Sacrament of healing and recovery to good health. If someone is diagnosed with an illness, or scheduled for an operation, or if someone is physically ill and taken to hospital, or if someone is suffering any kind of emotional or mental illness – then they can receive this Sacrament. Please contact the parish priest with any requests for the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.
