DERRICK Privacy Policy

DERRICK is built privacy first. Your wells and calculations live only on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no cross-app tracking.
What we store
Every well, casing string, gradient profile, and saved calculation is stored locally on your device using Apple on-device storage. We operate no servers and cannot see your data. It never leaves your device except as described in AI Co-pilot below.
AI Co-pilot
When you use an AI feature, the text of your question and the relevant context of your active well, such as depths, mud weight, gradient values, and recent results, are sent over an encrypted connection to Anthropic (api.anthropic.com) to generate the answer. Only what is needed to respond is sent. Your full history is not. Anthropic processes the request under its own terms. If you never use an AI feature, nothing is transmitted.
Subscriptions
DERRICK Pro is sold through the Apple App Store. Purchases and renewals are handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your name, payment method, or Apple Account. The app only reads an anonymous entitlement, Pro or not, from the App Store on your device.
No tracking
DERRICK contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. It does not use the Advertising Identifier and does not ask to track you across apps or websites.
Your control
You can delete any single well, any saved calculation, or all data at any time from Settings, Reset All Data. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your device.
Children
DERRICK is a professional tool, not directed at children, and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
