In using memory "tricks," it helps to associate pictures with each other. I assigned a fixed picture to each letter of the alphabet. So, for example, when you try to remember POEMS syndrome (Polyneuropathy, Organomegaly, Endocrinopathy, M protein, and Skin findings), you can imagine an octopus playing an organ, leading you to remember Organomegaly. And so on for the other letters. Use your imagination! But, you must invest the time to remember that A is always "apple," etc.
