Here is some information for both parents and students.
We have been English tutors for the last 15 years. We have taught grades from adult down to toddlers. During this time we have come to realize a number of things. Firstly we love teaching English (most days :-). Secondly, speaking English well takes hard work and dedication. There is no shortcut or secret magic recipe. We have many students who speak English fluently now, but that is after many years of studying diligently.
Our method for teaching English is very simple. Don't try to learn a million things at once. Learn to do one thing but do it perfectly. Then move on to the next thing and do it perfectly too. The more you are able to do, the more you will be able to do. Studying English is like building a house. If the foundation and the walls are not put on right the roof won't be very strong. Therefore we strongly believe in mastering the basics of English even with the most advanced students. Do the little things right and the big things will become easier.
Since we live in the twenty-first century, all our work is now being done on computer. The programs and applications that we use to accomplish this are free and open-source. If you do not own a computer or a device on which you can do the work, you can get in contact with us to either help you to get computer time or help you to build a computer or you can simply do it the old-fashioned way on pen and paper. Right now there are times available for private classes. Please get in touch with us to find out more about available times. If you are a high school student you don't have enough time to have class full-time, there are courses available that run over weekends and on Wednesdays. These courses are not a full-time commitment but only for three or five weeks at a time.
