Yubo National High School began as La Granja NHS – Yubo Extension, established during School Year 1998-1999 under the Department of Education, Culture and Sports (DECS). The school opened with complete year levels (First to Fourth Year) and three pioneering teachers — Mrs. Nenebeth Chavez ‑ Yuma, Mrs. Nelia Gabales ‑ Cawaya, and Mr. Fercelcie S. Sia — under the leadership of school head Mrs. Nenita P. Avanceña.
Over the years, as enrollment steadily grew, the school was guided by several Teacher‑in‑Charge, administrators, and principals, including Dr. Eunice Paz S. Gumasing, Dr. Ruth P. Convite, Mr. Jose C. Lutao, Mrs. Pinky R. Te Riini, Ms. Ivy T. Dalisay, Dr. Jeanalyn L. Jamison, Mr. Romeo G. Jamison Jr., and Dr. Jeffrey R. Castel Jr.
A significant milestone came on 21 September 2021 when DepEd Regional Office VI officially approved its renaming to Yubo National High School effective School Year 2022–2023.
On 7 July 2025, Mr. Ronald A. Rizo was designated as the School Teacher‑in‑Charge until 7 January 2026. He was replaced by Mrs. Gilda C. Lastimosa as the new School Principal who was installed on 8 January 2026. Under her leadership, the school continues to embrace growth and innovation in delivering quality K to 12 education.
Today, Yubo National High School serves learners not only from Brgy. Yubo but also from neighboring communities in La Carlota City and La Castellana. It offers complete Junior High School (Grades 7–10) programs, as well as the Senior High School (Academic Track – HUMSS Strand and ALS‑SHS).
