Great American Teach In & Jr. Thespians

REPOST FROM "INSTAGRAM"

The past month has been a full circle moment! I participated in Jr Thespians in Middle School and Thespians in High School and over the past month I’ve been able to serve as an Adjudicator for both competitions. I also went back to my middle school Orange Grove Middle Magnet to speak to the current theatre students for the Great American Teach In! It was such an honor and so rewarding to give back to the community and the people that played such a pivotal role in molding me into the artist I am today! #NostalgiaChronicles

Congratulations Deon!

Congratulations to Deon for his KCACTF nomination for his role as Stool Pigeon in 'King Hedley II'

"I'm so thankful to be nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Competition in the Kennedy Center for American Theatre Festival (KCACTF) for my role in 'King Hedley II'! Thank you to my amazing parents, castmates, and director Luther D. Wells who kept me lifted and continued to challenge me throughout this process. August Wilson's language and rhythm is so complex and unique, it takes time to analyze and comprehend that was definitely the biggest challenge for me. The reward in all of this was being entrusted with the task of becoming a vessel for Mr. Wilson's vision and aid in telling the storytelling of this heartbreaking common man tragedy. I am beyond proud of the work that we did as a team and this show will forever have a special place in my heart, most of all, God, you a bad mutha-"
