Deon Barksdale, Jr. is a native of Tampa, Florida and a Cum Laude graduate of Florida A&M University with a B.A. in Theatre Performance. Most recently he has appeared in as a Drifter in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at The Palace Theatre as well as Teo in For Carmen in San Sebastián (Teo) with The REV Theatre Company. He has appeared in shows with Florida Studio Theatre including the world premieres of Play Makers: Zoom into Playwriting, As You Are, and Crooners & Vamps. He has also appeared in King Hedley II (Stool Pigeon), Sing on Ms. Griot (Br’re Rabbit), Helena Barington’s: Majesty (Zacharias), and A Night at the Cotton Club (Lil Deon) within The Essential Theatre and as Delbert Tibbs in The Exonerated at the Don Evans Theatre. His voice-over credits include Sam "Flip" Butler in Sugar Maple with Osiris Media Corporation as well as Principal Reed in HEAVY. He has also appeared in films such as Ridin Dirty, Punchline, and Comedy #2.
