Deon Barksdale, Jr. is a Tampa, Florida native and a graduate of Florida A&M University. He recently appeared as a Drifter in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical at The Palace Theatre and as Teo in For Carmen in San Sebastián with The REV Theatre Company. His work with Florida Studio Theatre includes the world premieres of Play Makers: Zoom into Playwriting, As You Are, and Crooners & Vamps. Other notable stage credits include Stool Pigeon in King Hedley II, Br’er Rabbit in Sing on Ms. Griot, Zacharias in Helena Barrington’s: Majesty, Lil Deon in A Night at the Cotton Club (The Essential Theatre), and Delbert Tibbs in The Exonerated at the Don Evans Theatre. His film credits include Ryding Durty, Punchline, and Comedy #2. Deon’s voice-over work includes Sam "Flip" Butler in Sugar Maple (Osiris Media Corporation) and Principal Reed in HEAVY.
