Organization of Scientific Meetings

Aug. 23rd–27th, 2025

I was member of the scientific committee of the 15th anual conference of the International Society of Relativistic Quantum Information (ISRQI) which took place in Naples [link].

May 6th-8th, 2025

Together with colleagues at ZARM and other members of the COST Actions RQI [link] and BridgeQG [link], I organized a workshop on Quantum Systems in Free Fall at ZARM, Bremen, [link] that was funded by the two COST Actions and the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers [link].

Since Oct. 2024

In 2024, our application for a COST Action on Relativistic Quantum Information was approved by COST [link] and I became leader of the working group WG2 on Gravitational quantum physics and metrology. With this COST action, we have funding for 4 years to build a European network on Relativistic Quantum Information by organizing conferences, workshops, and research schools, funding visits of researchers in other groups and conference visits of young researchers and reseachers from Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs), perform outreach activities and get into contact with policymakers, space agencies, and relevant industries. Nov. 24th, 2023

With my colleagues at ZARM, Roy Barzel, Ekim Hanimeli, Emanuel Schlake and Marian Cepok, I have organized an instance of the RQI Circuit, which consists of local conferences organized by ISRQI the International Society of Relativistic Quantum Information (RQI) in partnership with local RQI hubs. Our RQI hub comprises the corresponding researchers in the region Hannover/Braunschweig/Bremen under the connecting platform of the Cluster of Excellence QuantumFrontiers and the collaborative research center TerraQ. Feb. 13th-17th, 2023

With my colleagues Philipp Haslinger (TU Vienna), Francesco Intravaia (HU Berlin) and Arkadiusz Kosior (U of Innsbruck), I have organized a workshop on Blackbody Radiation Induced Effects and Phenomena at the ESI in Vienna from Feb. 13-17, 2023. Editing

Since July 2025, I am an editor of Quantum [link], an open-access, peer-reviewed, non-profit, and community-run journal for quantum science and related fields.

Reviewing

I have worked as a reviewer for journals like Physical Review D, Quantum, Science Advances, Physica Scripta and Europhysics Letters. Furthermore, I have provided reviews of research proposals for the John Templeton Foundation.
