Additional Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure Projects include:

Sustainable Design Standards Training, City of Richmond, Virginia (2024) with Sustainable Design Consulting.

Prepared and delivered training on the City’s new Sustainable Design Standards for 60 City staff.

Flood Resilience Plan, Charlottesville, Virginia (2022). 

Facilitated multi-department collaboration to develop the City’s Flood Resilience Plan. The plan identifies existing assets and resources, includes the City’s first Stormwater Capital Improvement Project list, and an implementation budget and timeline.

Environmental Strategic Plan, George Washington Regional Commission, Fredericksburg, Virginia (2021). 

Facilitated strategic planning among regional communities, conducted research, facilitated stakeholder engagement, identified and prioritized objectives, and developed a long-term strategic plan for environmental services by leveraging funding from current annual programs and identifying additional sources of funding to implement a prioritized list of studies, plans, policies, and engineering projects.

VDEQ Chesapeake Bay TMDL Watershed Implementation Program Grant applications and management for 

• Crater Planning District Commission, Petersburg; 

• Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission, Saluda; and 

• George Washington Regional Commission, Fredericksburg, Virginia (2019-2021).  

Managed the program grant (total $70,000 per year) provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality including proposal development, interim and final reporting, and preparation of other grant applications.

NOAA / VA Coastal Zone Management Program (VCZMP) Technical Assistance management for 

• Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission, Saluda, and 

• George Washington Regional Commission, Fredericksburg, Virginia (2019-2021). 

Managed the annual Technical Assistance grant funded by the VCZMP including annual proposal development, interim and final reporting, and preparation of other grant applications. Participated in VCZMP Policy Team meetings to collaborate on grant proposals, grant management, and grant reporting for federal funding.

VDEQ Chesapeake Bay TMDL Watershed Implementation Plan Grant applications and management for 

• Accomack-Northampton Planning District Commission, Accomac; 

• Middle Peninsula Planning District Commission, Saluda; and 

• George Washington Regional Commission, Fredericksburg, Virginia (2018-2019).  

Managed the plan grant (total $90,000) provided by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality including proposal development, interim and final reporting, and preparation of other grant applications.

Additional Envision Rating System for Sustainable Infrastructure Projects include:

WJH Sport Fish Hatchery Verification, Anchorage, Alaska.

Served as the first third-party expert to verify a project for an Envision award.

Willert Park Green Infrastructure Envision Support, Buffalo Sanitation Authority, Buffalo, New York.

Provided services to prepare the verification application for the Envision sustainable infrastructure rating system for a road diet project that included construction of a tree-lined, ten-foot wide, multi-use path, a substantial green buffer separating pathway users from automobile traffic, stormwater drainage improvements, and a generous strip of parkland to sustain the river bank. Led design team in the assessment of the design and preparing the verification application and documentation. Manage the verification review process and received a Bronze award. 

South Lamar Street Envision Support, City of Dallas, Dallas, Texas.

Provided services to prepare the Envision verification application for a project to revitalize a neighborhood corridor with safe sidewalks, a multi-use trail, and decorative architectural features to reflect the local culture, among other features. Completed assessment of the design and prepared the verification application and documentation. Manage the verification review process and received a Bronze award. 

Hardywood West Creek Envision Assessment, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, Richmond, Virginia. Completed assessment of the design at the Gold award level. 

Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) Credential Training, various locations. 

Provided Envision Sustainability Professional credential training for:

• City of Newport News, Virginia

• Launch! Consulting, Virginia

• FDOT and I-4 Mobility Partners (Skanska, John Laing, SGL Constructors), Florida
