To apply for a User ID to access services at the Companies Registry (CR) via the e-Services Portal, you can follow the steps below. Note that while the CR provides demonstration videos to guide you, the actual application is done through an online form rather than a "video application" process. Application Steps https://www.cr.gov.hk Access the Portal: Visit the e-Services Portal and click "Register Now" on the landing page.Select Registration Method:iAM Smart: Use the iAM Smart mobile app for immediate registration without needing to upload further ID documents.User ID / Digital Certificate: If you do not have iAM Smart, you can register by creating a User ID and password or using a recognized digital certificate.Provide Identification:If not using iAM Smart, you must submit identification details.Options for verification:Attach a certified true copy of your ID document online.Present your original ID in person at the Registry’s e-Services Centre (13th Floor, Queensway Government Offices).Activate Account: Once your application is accepted, an activation email will be sent to your registered email address (usually within one hour). You must click the link in this email to activate your account.
