The DEMOS Lab is a research collaborative located in the Department of Political Science at the University of Alabama. We study attitudes about democratic norms, institutions, and support, paying special attention to the tensions that frustrate the pluralism that democracy demands. The lab's work is grounded in a commitment to transparency in data collection, fielding, and analysis and to connecting researchers doing this work together across institutions. Its research has been generously funded by the University of Alabama, the National Science Foundation, The Democracy Fund, and the Rapoport Foundation.
