Now no need to fear, we're not here to police you on your food choices or throw petty insults. We don't support that kind of behavior.
But rather we want to encourage you to do the right things.
Much like donating blood, being compassionate to animals has many benefits for yourself and those around you.
Our mission is to end all forms of oppression in all living beings human and non human, because you can't have human rights without animal rights, and vice versa.
Yes we can be strict towards those that don't take our job seriously, but who wouldn't? After all, glorifying the abuse and harm of animals in front of an animal rescuer is like dumping a can of trash on the floor in front of a janitor.
Also please do not get our mission confused with false vegan rumors that are spread around, we're not looking to "Make companion animals go extinct" or "Steal people's dogs from their porches". That's not what animal rights is about, far from it actually.
You see the definition of animal rights is to "View animals as equals to humans", what better way to do that than rescue a dog or a cat or any animal that needs sanctuary and welcome them into your house as if they were a roommate or a child?
Yes we acknowledge that some animals need to stay wild as well, which is why we're against capturing native wildlife and tossing animals that don't belong in certain areas out. There's a fine line between domesticated and wild, like mountain lions and house cats, house cats lack the size and survival instincts they need to thrive outdoors like a mountain lion, they can't defend themselves from large predators and cruel humans and they don't know when to stop hunting even if they're not hungry.
So you see? We're not making up rules as some may claim, we cite real science and biology.
And it's that science that guides us into the fight against oppression.
