Step by Step Instructions: How to Register to Vote "In-person"
*Reminder that you must be 18 or older, an American citizen, and a New Hampshire resident by the day of the election in order to register to vote.
You may either register to vote at the location on the same day as you plan on voting, or earlier at your town/city clerk's office.
Items to bring with you:
Bring proof of your identity, age, citizenship, and domicile (place you call home permanently).
These proofs can be by document: paper or electronic
If you do not happen to have the required documents, you must sign a "Qualified Voter Affidavit" (which will be provided to you) under oath in front of an election official.
Examples of documents you can bring for identity, age, citizenship, and domicile:
Identity +Age:
A driver’s license or non-driver ID from any state
Citizenship:
A birth certificate, U.S. Passport/Passcard, or naturalization document
**A New Hampshire Real ID compliant driver's license is NOT proof of U.S. Citizenship
Domicile:
