What We Do

We invite your student to participate in volunteer fundraising events for this worthwhile cause. Various Delano Scholarship fundraisers are held throughout the year. Students will be notified through school announcements about these fundraisers. Sign-up sheets for student participation are posted in the high school office prior to each fundraiser. 

After students have completed their required volunteer fundraising activities, the formal application process will begin. Applications for the Delano Area Scholarship Association scholarship will be available on line at the DASA website on Monday, December 15th. The completed application forms must be submitted completely no later than Friday, February 27, 2026. No LATE or INCOMPLETE applications will be accepted. Information regarding the fundraisers and applications will also be available on the DASA link located on the Delano High School website. Who is eligible for a Dollar Area Scholarship Association scholarship? 

Graduating seniors planning to attend a post-secondary school:

• Technical college

• Community college

• Four year college/university

What are the criteria for applying for a scholarship?

• Participation in two of the scheduled Delano Scholarship fundraisers. (The fall Omelet Breakfast ticket sale is required.) 

• Participation in volunteer activities, extra-curricular activities and academics

• Completion of the application form, which includes a description of your post-secondary plans, a short essay, signatures from two teachers and a school official

Past Scholarships Granted

Through the generosity of our DASA donors, we awarded $$85,500 in scholarships to 69 students from the 2025 graduating class at Delano High School.
