What We Do
We invite your student to participate in fundraising for this worthwhile cause. Various Delano Scholarship fundraisers are held throughout the year. Students will be notified through school announcements about these fundraisers. Sign-up sheets for student participation are posted in the high school office prior to each fundraiser.
After students have completed their required fundraising activities, the formal application process will begin. Applications for the Delano Area Scholarship Association scholarship will be available from Mr. VanCura in the DHS Language Arts Department and online by September 11, 2023. The completed application forms must be postmarked no later than Saturday, March 2nd, 2024. No LATE or INCOMPLETE applications will be accepted. Information regarding the fundraisers and applications will also be available on the DASA link located on the Delano High School website. Who is eligible for a Dollar Area Scholarship Association scholarship?
Graduating seniors planning to attend a post-secondary school:
• Technical college
• Community college
• Four year college
What are the criteria for applying for a scholarship?
• Participation in two of the scheduled Delano Scholarship fundraisers. (The fall Omelet Breakfast ticket sale is required.)
• Participation in volunteer activities, extra-curricular activities and academics
• Completion of the application form, which includes a description of your post-secondary plans, a short essay, signatures from two teachers and a school official
