What is a variable?

• Variables are labels or names used to hold one or more value

• Declare a value for the variable; then access it anytime just by typing the variable's name.

• If a new value is assigned to a previously assigned variable, the new value overwrites the old value.

• Any variable that has been declared must be assigned a value before it can be used.
