Hi-Lo Immediate Evacuation Siren 

The Nevada County Sheriff 's Office has partnered with the Grass Valley Police Department and the Nevada City Police Department to pilot new HiLo Sirens for evacuations. These sirens have a new sound to notify you and your family of an IMMEDIATE evacuation order. This new system will NOT replace CodeRed Emergency Alerts, but is another way that law enforcement can notify you of emergency in your neighborhood.
