Workshop attended:
1) 14th Bangalore Microscopy Course
I got selected for the reputed One-week hands-on workshop on Microscopy at NCBS Bangalore. I learned the fundamentals of microscopy and many super-resolution techniques.
In the Bangalore Microscopy Course at NCBS Bangalore.
After successful completion of the Light Sheet Microscopy project in the Bangalore Microscopy course.
2) RCB-IBDC 5 weeks Certificate Course on Data Analysis for Systems Biology (Offline from 9-20 Feb 2026)
I got selected for the highly competitive Five weeks certificate course of Systems Biology. I learned the fundamentals high throughput data anaysis using large number of techniques bioinformaics tools. It was a big milestone in my academic journey.
Workshops organised:
1) I conducted a one-day hands-on workshop on Microscopy in our lab. People got a live demonstration of different microscopic techniques and fundamental mechanics behind them (28th June, 2025).
Showing the Condenser unit of a widefield microscope during One day Hand-on worksop.
2) I organised a one-day practical session for college students from Punjab university where I teach as a part of my PMRF TAship. Students were introduced with diverse model systems and various tools and techniques for genetic studies.
Students visited Dr. Joginders lab and were introduced to C. elegans.
Vigyan Pratibha Workshop:
1) Demonstrated light Microscopy to school teachers as a part of Vigyan Pratibha workshop organised by IISER Mohali, in July 2025.
Showing basic Parts of a compound Light microscope during Vigyan Pratibhe workshop, July 2025.
I visited a school (KV Adampur, Punjab) in August 2025 and introduced students with microscopy. Students were demonstrated to disassemble and the reassemble the compound microscope. Students also observed samples under the microscope.
Showing basic Parts of a compound Light microscope during school visit to Kendriya Vidyalaya Adampur, Punjab.
Scholars Talk:
This talk was designed for undergraduates and postgraduate students to highlight Drosophila melanogaster as a wonderful model system to address biological questions.
In this talk, I talked about the most basic and fundamental concepts of light microscopy. How microscopy has revealed the beauty of biological systems in an unprecedented way!
This was inspired by the Bangalore Microscopy course that I attended.
